About Automotive and Touring Club:
| This is a cliff along the sea shore in Sidi Bashr next to the Automotive and Touring Club. The cliffs are between 3-5m tall, between vertical and slightly overhanging, also including roofs. The walls are completely pocketed and feature very very hard rock that will work your hands pretty good. Be warned: technically the rocks on the left hand side are not allowed to be climbed because they are owned by the club. When I was told when I was climbing them is that is wasn't safe to jump off the top of them. If you climb on them you are sure to have a crowd of wonderfully friendly Egyptians whistling at you and being so polite as to tell you that you aren't allowed to climb there. Basically the only way to climb on that side without a lot of attention is to go right as sunrise. |
