The Zawn
About The Zawn:
Spectacular setting - large amphitheater, crashing surf at your feet, and views of Shek O in the distance. Quite a few routes in the 5.10 to 5.11 range, with some easier/harder stuff as well. There are a few multi-pitch routes. the Zawn is U-shaped and south facing. Morning shade on the right walls, afternoon shade on the left. |
Approach: | From the end of the steps, walk over the rocky point to your right. There are two ways into the area: 1. An exposed traverse with a rope line. This option is exciting: if you come off, you will drop 20' into the surf below. 2. A short rappel. the rap anchor is roughly 20-30 feet to the right of the rope line. |
