About Citatah:

Citatah, as Indonesian climbers usually name it, is an area where Java Island oldest limestone outcropping. This area is a vast limestone hills range that is passed by Jakarta-Bandung main road. Citatah Area can be considered as an important area in the Indonesia rock climbing history. In 1988, Jibe Tribout, Patrick Berhault, and Corrine Laburne came here in order to share their climbing experiences and experties to Indonesian climbers. Many rock in citatah u can choose, "Citatah 48", "Citatah 90" and sure Citatah 125". Beside that "Citata 48 and 125' it's good for trad and aid, but there is heaps of sport.....
Nearest town or city: Padalarang-Bandung
Directions: Traveling by car, Citatah Area can be easily visited by car from Jakarta in about 3 hours, but most people choose to travel from bandung which makes the trip only about an hour. After passing by the border of Cianjur and Bandung Regency (Citarum Tol Bridge), you will soon enter a limestone hills range. Many of these limestone hills are subjected to mining activities, but some are preserved. You can drive your car through stony roads in order to approach the crags. Park you car in a safe place (not in the middle of the stony road), in the nearby village, or, if your car is tough enough, in the front of the crags.
