About Azad Kouh:

"Azaad kuh" rises in central part of Alborz mountains(north of Iran).This is a nearly single peak . there is a great cliff on northern and western face which makes it a magnificant summit. Many people climb it mostly at spring and summer. the easiest rout is the south-eastern spore. the district is protected against hunting, but camping is authorized. wild animals such as bear,wolf,goat and snakes live there. the danger of avalanche is serious at winter. from May to November is the best season.

Directions: Azaad kuh is located near a village which is named as"Kalaak Balaa" (upper Kalaak).for accessing to "Kalaak Balaa" you have to travel from Karadj to "Pol-e-Zangulea" by Chalus road and continue the eastern road until "Minaak" village, and then turn to right and go to southern direction to arriving the "Kalaak Balaa".the climbing rout is clearly obvious and goes to south to "Narchu" saddle and "Choran" saddle. then you have to climb a steep slope to northern direction until reaching the peak.
