About The Grotto:

These are the cliffs visable on the northern side of the river, and are within walking distance of the centre of town. The original Grotto cliff line began life as a trad cliff in the mid 80's but since the invention of sport climbign the area is now dotted with fantastic routes up big proud features. Planet Cock (PC) is your normal sport climbing hell hole. A very steep, compact and pockted area with numerous hard problems.
