About Camels Hump:

A good outcrop consisting of trachyte about 40 minutes from the CBD of Melbourne. This is one of the more popular Victorian cliffs thanks to a good variety of moderate trad and sport climb and the short walk in. Classics include the bolted arete Boogie Till You Puke (21), the first grade 17 in Oz 'Witch', and the technical Oxbow (17). If you want to struggle on desperate crimpers try the left side of the Omega Block. It is home to several grade 25+ sport routes. This area is sub-alpine and gets snow in winter. Avoid in wet weather!
Nearest town or city: Melbourne
Directions: Calder Hwy towards Bendigo. Take the Mount Macedon turnoff and drive up to the mountain past the quaint town. The climbing area is directly below the lookout on Mt Macedon summit proper.
