The Monument
About The Monument:
| About 90min from Chch, this is a prominant rockey peak at the head of the Purau Valley. The majority of lines here are trad. You will have a ball here if you can jam. The rock s of exelent quality and the crag dries quickly after rain. Approach is from the Mt. Herbert track starting from the road at the top of the Port Levy Saddle, and then cutting up the hill from the rocky saddle (rather steep...). Closed during lambing season! |
