About Homer Hut:

In good weather you can drive up to the huts. There is some bouldering near by. From the huts you can climb the Tunnel Slabs, and the Homer Saddle Crag. A little further afield there are single/multi pitch routes on and around "Belle" 1975m, "Moir" 2072m, "Moirs Mate" 1981m and "The Mates Little Brother", "Talbot" 2117m, "Barrier Knob"(the north face is considered to be the best 'crag' in the Darrans), "Crosscut"2316m, and "Christina" An intresting route can be found on the summit pyramid of Talbot. ***"Homegrown 21,(!) 7 pitches, Trad. The '!' is explaned in the guide book description. It reads in part:"A bold and scary lead!A superb death route..." Hmm.
