About East Buttress (OS):

A great crag, offering most of the finest high-level hard routes in the Lakes. Wait for a dry spell, even so it is very windy and can dry out in hours. East facing and can get bitter cold in the afternoon. Routes from 120 to 250 feet long, VS at the minimum, about 60 routes up to E6. Many of the routes are classics and quite steep. Always worth a visit if you climb at this level.
