A very good area, offering the nearest really good climbing to Newcastle. Around 70 routes in all grades, Diff to E4, 30 to 50 feet long. Up high and exposed, always worth a visit, excellent for bouldering. |

| Directions: | OS 80 GR NY 935 835 Alt. 287m 11 miles north of Hexham, just north of Sweethorpe Loughs. Take the A68 to Risdale, and go another half mile to just around a bend, then turn right and follow a small road for another mile and a half and park. From here a path leads almost south and up to the crags in about ten minutes. |
