About Rock Antics:

The wall is 9 metres in height and situated in Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre. It is a dedicated routed climbing area of over 1000 sq. metres ranging from very easy climbs to extreme grades of climbing suitable for all ages and abilities. We have recently completed the expansion to the wall to provide a more comprehensive service for young people and groups, schools etc. and disabled groups that we already cater for. The expansion includes more slab areas for beginners, as well as providing a more extreme bouldering wall and lead walls catering for climbers that wish for more demanding routes. The total size is now more than 1000 sq. meters with 53 fixed ropes. One of the features of the new wall is the imposing overhanging lead wall which must be seen to be appreciated. Features: 53 fixed top ropes, teaching areas, vertical walls, new overhanging lead walls, 2 bouldering walls, fixed rope ladder, dedicated areas (slabs & toddlers) and simulated rock surfaces and textures.
