About Beeston Tor (OS):

One of the best limestone crags in the Peak. The rock has good pockets and often good protection. About 40 routes, VS and up, around 200 feet high, with most climbs being two pitches long. Watch for the stinging nettles in the summer, and remember you have to bushwhack down the left side for the descent. Gets good morning and afternoon sun, worth a visit anytime.
Nearest town or city: Ashbourne
Directions: OS 119 GR SK 106 541 Alt. 210m 6.5 miles NW of Ashbourne. Take the A515 north to the Alstonfield turnoff and head towards Wetton. After one mile and winding down a steep hill to a bridge, the crag will be seen on the left. Drive down the lane on the left to a farm where you can park for a small fee, then make the 5 minute walk up to the crag.
