About Heptonstall Quarry (OS):

If you want variety, this is the crag for you. 60 or so routes in all grades, with the main quarry being sandstone and the outcrops to the left and right being gritstone. Hard climbing on the sandstone, easier routes on grit. Plenty of hard routes to keep one busy, 80 to 120 foot climbs mostly.
Nearest town or city: Bacup
Directions: OS 103 GR SD 985 277 Alt. 229m
8 miles ENE of Bacup. Head to Hebden Bridge, from the A646 turn up to Heptonstall in a little less than a mile. A path leads south from behind the church to the top of the crag.
