About Tryfan East Face (OS):
The East Face of Tryfan is one of the biggest and best cliffs for that real mountaineering challenge. The routes start about halfway up the face and reach over 600 feet to the summit. Only the aid lines exceed VS in difficulty. There are many classics and on a good summer's day there could be several parties climbing at the cliff. About 50 routes in total, most of which are worth doing. If you are in the area, our Rescue Base is just over the road (A small white square building) Drop in for a Panad (Tea) |
