Description:

Catburger / 6 Pitches / 5.11a / * Star FA: Brian Pegg, John Ford, Andy Durie, Russel March Summer 1998 to July 2001 The most direct climb on the Kitten, with some good climbing leading to a short battle with an overhang in the middle of the climb. Start as for Tiggers and climb the first two pitches of that route. Near the top of the second pitch, instead of moving right to the top of the Scratching Post, belay on gear at a small ledge at the base of a long dihedral [5.9, 50 m, and 5.9, 40 m]. Stem up this dihedral, layback a small roof, and belay on bolts above [5.10a, 40 m]. Climb up and left to the bottom of the overhang where two cracks form an inverted V-shape. Hand-jam up the cracks, traverse left, and layback up a left-facing flake to a bolt belay . Tape your hands!! [5.11a, 40 m]. Straight up the crack system for two pitches to the summit [5.9, 40 m; 5.9, 35 m]. Descend by rappelling the route.
