APPROACH--3 miles from the 7,200 foot Southeast Fork of the Kahiltna Glacier landing strip to the 6,900 foot base of Mount Crosson.

TOTAL TIME--10 to 21 days

VERTICAL GAIN--10,500 feet (add over 2,000 feet more of elevation gain for ups and downs).

DIFFICULTIES & DANGERS--40 degree snow and ice sections along a crevassed and knife-edged ridge; upper route is exposed to all wind and storm conditions.

CAMPS--11,000 (Southeast Ridge of Mount Crosson); 11,250 (South Ridge of Point 12,472); 12,300 (Northeast Ridge).
