Description:
APPROACH--One and a half miles from the 7,200 Southeast Fork of the Kahiltna Glacier landing strip to the 7,800 foot base.
TOTAL TIME--5 to 10 days
VERTICAL GAIN--6,700 feet
DIFFICULTIES & DANGERS--There is about 2 hours of exposure to a hanging glacier on the approach; the triangle face is about 80 degrees near the apex; the crux is several pitches of steep exposed ice mushrooms and the lower angled slopes above the ice cliff are exposed to avalanches.
CAMPS--10,200 (beneath triangle face); 11,300 (apex); 13,000 (plateau).
