APPROACH--3 miles from the 7,200 foot Southeast Fork of the Kahiltna Glacier landing strip to the 8,600 foot base of the ridge.
TOTAL TIME--7 to 14 days
VERTICAL GAIN--6,100 feet
DIFFICULTIES & DANGERS--Exposure to hanging glaciers and slab avalanche conditions after snowfall or wind; crux is sustained 50 to 60 degree ice climbing from 8,600 feet to the 9,950 col.
