APPROACH--Half a mile from the landing area.

TOTAL TIME--13 to 21 days

VERTICAL GAIN--5,800 feet.

DIFFICULTIES & DANGERS--The technical crux is a 350 foot overhang with hard Class 5 climbing and direct aid; HAPPY COWBOYS involves straddling and exposed knife-edge with little or no protection; many unstable cornices and ice, with mixed climbing up to 80 degrees.

CAMPS--Virtually all bivouacs will be chopped ledges; one cave is possible near the top of the route.
