Description:

This route is accessed by the Mendenhall Glacier about 5 miles back. You have to enter the Northeast Ridge via ice falls and to aviod zig zagging back and forth across the glacier a million and one times you need to climb a couple ice falls. Once you get on the rock you need to carefully route find your way up the ridge... beware of the rather mind boogeling drop offs. Once you make it about a third the way up the mountain you will come to the glacier on the backside of the mountain, from there it is a long slog up the back. Beautiful view from the top on a clear day, good views of Mount Fairweather and St. Elias, the Towers and Mendenhall valley.
