About Fritz Cove:
There's only 2 routes here. Not something to plan and train for weeks in advance, just something to do if you've got a free afternoon during the summer. Everyone tells me the sport route on the left is the easier of the two, but I haven't been able to finish it. Perhaps a hold broke off? Maybe I'm just a worse climber than I'd like to believe... |
Nearest town or city: | Juneau/Auke Bay |
Directions: | Heading towards Auke Bay, take a left on Fritz Cove Road and it'll be on your left. There's a place to pull over and park right before the climbing area, or you can pull a u-turn and park right at the foot of the route. A short walk to the right (facing the wall) and you'll find a trail to the top (if you want to set a top-rope). |
