Although Banner Peak is not as high as its more popular neighbor, Mt. Ritter, it is a more beautiful mountain and the views from its summit are just as spectacular. There are several different routes on Banner Peak ranging from a Class 2 glacier to Class 4 ridges to exposed face climbs. Banner Peak rises above 1000 Island Lake to the SW. |
