About Real Hidden Valley:
Once a hideout for cattle rustlers, this area is home to numerous classic crack and face climbs of all grades. Fote Hog (5.6), Sail Away (5.8), Illusion Dweller (5.10b), Run For Your Life (5.10b), Clean And Jerk (5.10c), Bebop Tango (5.11a), Desert Song (5.11b), Leave It To Beaver (5.12a) and Bikini Whale (5.12b) are among some of the excellent routes to do here. Most formations are a short walk (5-10 minutes) from the car and each other along a scenic winding trail. Lots of climbers usually, as well as tourists so try to be on your best behavior in this area. Good bouldering is scattered throughout the area, with many new problems as yet undone. |
