About Frustration Creek:
A slot canyon easily missed if one blinks driving by, this has some of the hardest climbing in Southern California...albeit somewhat enhanced. Easier natural routes exist on the lower tier, while the harder stuff is on the upper tier. The upper tier is one of the more impressive walls in So. Cal with many long and diificult routes up to 100' long with even some two pitch climbs available. |
Nearest town or city: | Forest Falls |
Directions: | Highway 38 to Big Bear. About a mile past the turn-off for Forest Falls is this area on the right (east) side of the road. Park across the highway in a paved pullout.BE EXTRA CAREFUL CROSSING THE ROAD. Approach takes about a minute to the lower tier, but involves some sketchy moves w/o protection up the waterfall to access the upper tier. Please be carefull going up there!. |
