About El Cajon Mountain:
| Two major areas, The Wedge (aka: Main Wall, El Cap)-see Rock and Ice 9/05- and The Bluffs (aka: El Monte Slabs). |

| Directions: | From San Diego: Take I-8 eastbound to Lake Jennings rd exit, turn left and drive north 2 miles until you reach a stop sign at the intersection of El Monte rd. Turn right onto El Monte rd and drive nearly 5 miles to just before the entrance gate to El Capitan reservoir. Several dirt turn outs on the sides of the road mark the parking area and trailhead to the mountain. From El Centro: Take I-8 westbound to Lake Jennings rd exit, repeat above directions. From El Cajon/Lakeside: Take SR-67 north until the freeway ends at a stoplight and the intersection of Mapleview st. Turn right on Mapleview and drive 1.2 miles east to El Monte rd where you will turn left. From Poway/Escondido: Take SR-67 south to Mapleview st. Turn left on Mapleview and repeat above directions. |
