About McCain Valley:
A vast wonderland of boulders... huge area. Lark Canyon is popular with off-roaders... but Pinnacle Circuit is off-limits for them- it's far enough away that you can't even hear the off-roaders. Its 10 miles to the Cottonwood Campground, hike down Pepper springs trail 1/2 mile. Boulders every where. Some good faces and cracks up small canyon to left. Water can be found on the trail to Sombrero Peak soon after the split from the Pepper spring trail. Friction face, cracks, arete, jug faces. |
