About Castle Rock State Park:
Castle Rock State Park-American Fontainebleau? Long before Castle Rock State Park acquired bolted sport routes, the small sandstone outcrops scattered throughout the madrones, live oaks and bays have offered climbers challenging high-standard boulder problems and extended training circuits similar to those found in the famous enchanted forest of Fontainebleau near Paris. You can experience some of the best climbing in the whole area on these boulders. As for sport and yes even some trad climbs, Yes! There are several areas with routes ranging from 10 feet to 120 feet high, although the rocks and cliffs are spread throughout the park it is well worth the short hikes. The main Castle Rock is a wonderful rock with totally awesome views. So Climb on.....! Check out the guide books and go climb! |
