About Summit Rock:

Summit Rock, technically inside Sanborn-Skyline County Park,
is a complex sandstone outcropping on the east side of
Skyline Boulevard. Here you'll find a variety of routes,
rocks, and styles of climbing. Everything from trivial
toprope set-ups to webbing masterpieces.
When you top out, make sure to bring your camera; on a clear day the 180° views of the South Bay will inspire you! Sadly, you must avoid broken glass around the base of nearly every climb, since some a55holes think it's cute to toss beer bottles from the summit, which is unfortunately accessible to casual scrambles. |
