From Roper: IV, 5.8, A3. A classic pillar leans against the northeast face of Balloon. Five pitches up the left side of this pillar lead to the top. Hard slab climbing and jamming are encountered in this section. From the pillar's top, rappel 50 feet to the notch behind it; then pendulum to the right into a long crack(mostly aid) which leads to easier climbing and the top.
