About Lumpy Ridge:

Lumpy Ridge quite simply is awesome. This place has some of the most incredible trad climbing in the United States. The granite is bomber and the gear is great. The cracks are sometimes wierd and flaring, and can be deceptively hard. Difficulty ranges from wonderful 5.6s up to classic 5.12s. Have I mentioned that the climbing here is good? Some rocks have great 1 pitch cragging, and Sundance Buttress can be as committing to climb on as areas in the high country. Don't miss this place - routes are easier to get to than the South Platte, the cracks are better than Eldo, and the gear is better than the Flatirons. Go here. |
