Indoor Climbing Gym & Gear Shop

Vertical Excape has 10,000+ square feet of climbing plus a gear shop. Inside you will find 30ft climbing walls with routes ranging from begginer to advanced. The walls range from steep to overhanging with flakes, aretes, and cracks. There is also a bouldering area upstairs with overhangs and roofs. Bouldering problems usually range from V0 to V6 with an occasional V7 or higher. Climbing routes range from 5.6 to 5.12 with some bolted lines.

Rates: $11 climbing pass, $8 bouldering pass, and $20 begginer climbing class (including gear rental, climbing pass, & class). The gym also offers 1 month, 6 month, and 12 month memberships. 6 month and 12 month memberships include discount on gear.

Guiding & Climbing Classes

Vertical Excape offeres classes at their facility and outdoors. The courses offered are the belay class, sport leading class, & training seminars. The training seminars are for climbers wanting to improve their climbing ability. The seminars cover workout programs and basic climbing movements. The Outdoor courses offered are Rappelling, Rock Climbing I, Rock Climbing II, and Bouldering. The classes will be arranged to suit whatever it is your wanting to learn whether it be leading trad climbs to multipitch climbing.

The Gear Shop

There is a gear shop located in the front of the building. They have all the gear in stock that any avid weekender would ever need. They can order gear such as Ice Tools and Crampons that they don't carry in stock. Their product line is usually Metolius, Trango, Bluewater, Five.Ten, La Sportiva, Prana, Jack Wolfskin, MSR, Kelty, and Eureka!

A Kayak shop rents out part of the store. They sell Kayaks and guided whitewater and Kayak trips.

Directions: Take the Lloyd Expressway to Burkhardt Rd. Drive North on Burkhardt to the light at Vogel Rd. and turn left. Take Vogel Rd. for one mile and turn right onto Royal Ave. You will see the facility... it is boxshaped and grey.
