Mount Bradbury State Park
About Mount Bradbury State Park:
There are definatly some beautiful looking boulders both overhanging and slabby. Anywhere from v easy to very hard bouldering. The larger boulders are about a 10 minute walk from the parking lot, on the backside of the summit below and to the right of South Ridge. This place definatly has some of the hardest problems in Maine, and leaves little for the beginner. It is kinda hard to find without directions, but is entirely worth the trips for anyone visiting the Portland, ME area. Be forewarned, the rock is pretty sharp on the hands, as they are coarse granite boulders. However, a few of the boulders are at least 20 ft and require a few pads and some Cahones, but none the less, make for epic bouldering! (want help? e-mail me) |
