About Raven Rock-SA Rocks:

"SA Rocks", is a new addition to Maryland's List or Boulder Fields, we recently just established a climbing area right off one of the Appilachian access trails. The location is incredible, and the rule is: If You Send it, u get to name and rate it. Ton's of Bouldering and Opportunities for Trad and Top Rope. This is the traning grounds for SolidAdrenaline Peoples. Enjoy! :) :) P.S. Has a freshwater river/stream across the road VERY COLD, bring a filter!!!
Nearest town or city: Hagerstown
Directions: Westbound or eastbound take Interstate 70 to exit 35. Head to Smithsburg on route 66 north, you’ll continue thru a roundabout. There’s a light for route 64, turn right. Keep driving thru one more light and later turn right on 491. Head up the hill 2 miles to Ritchie Road on the left, and make a u-turn. Drive down 491 slowly 300 feet and watch on ur right for some slightly overhung boulders about 30 feet off the road. Can't miss It. Just to the left of the exposed face is Section 1 in the woods with many quality routes. Section 2 is directly above and has a good warmup traverse. Section 3 is above this, and the Coliseum is on top of everything. You might find it quickest to hike the AT (300 feet downroad) to access the Coliseum and Section 3.
