About Truman Lake:
Description-- Top roping and sport climbing in West Central Missouri. If it gets really hot, take a swim in Truman Lake. Bring a 50 meter rope and protection devices because many of the routes are sport climbs without top rope accessibility. There are top roping routes for our top-roping climbers |
Nearest town or city: | Warsaw |
Directions: | From Highway 70, go south on HWY 65 and from Highway 44, go north on HWY 65, both directions are heading towards Warsaw, respectively. Once in Warsaw, go west on HWY 7. You will cross the Osage River and then look out for the SW 621 Rd. Go north/right on SW 621. Turn left at the stop sign. Then take the first left and park off the road near the gate. Remember not to block the gate or your car will be towed. From the gate, follow the gravel road to the trail on the left side just over the hill. Once at the trail, just follow it to the top of the cliffs. Once at the cliffs, you can rappel to the bottom or there are two gullies, one to the left and one to the right, that you can descend |
