Eagle Wall Area
About Eagle Wall Area:
Description: Eagle Wall, home of some of the hardest, most sustained routes in Red Rocks. It's also home to a 2+ hour approach. However, it's well worth the approach, since the rock is pristine, the views incredible, and the climbing is spectacular.
Approach: Follow the canyon up Oak Creek until the wall comes fully into view. You'll need to go past this to a large tree to get access to the ramp. The ramp will take you to the bases of all these climbs. These climbs are also accessible from the Black Orpheus descent...making thoughts of a giant linkup wander through more than one climbers sick little brain.... Beta/Updates: It is highly recommended that your first trip up the Eagle Wall be a walk off, due to the amazing views that lie hidden until you're on top. Keep this in mind when planning your trip. |
