About Pine Creek Canyon:
Pine Creek Canyon is a great canyon to get introduced to what Red Rocks has to offer. It's also one of those canyons with plenty of shade and sun, allowing a greater selection of climbing when the weather changes between cool and warm.
Access: This canyon can be accessed via the loop road or SR 159. Late permits are not available for this canyon. When to climb: With both sunny and shady spots, this canyon is accessible in all but the hottest months of the year. Even in July, though, some areas are cool enough to climb, it becomes an issue of the approach. Classics: Cat in the Hat, Dark Shadows, Community Pillar, Straight Shooter, Topless Twins.
