About Dona Ana:
Multi Pitch, Secluded, mostly trad with two multi-pitch bolted sport climbs. |
Nearest town or city: | Las Cruces |
Directions: | Take 70 east from I25 until you see a shell station turn left, follow this good dirt road until you reach a fence with a rockpile marker on each side of the road. Make a left and follow the fence line to the Power lines turn left and go between two large hills. After the hills you will see the wall on the right. Continue along the powerlines until you see a road to the right that follows a gully. Turn here and drive to the obvious parking area. Each route is 3 pitches or longer. There are some pretty good bouldering problems on the path to the crag. |

Access Issues: | The off road section used to reach the park after the nice dirt county road has two gully/wash crossings. Be aware they might be dangerous for non 4x4 vehicles. The first is near the entrance about 100 yrds from county rd. The second is near the park (100 yrds or so), and this wash in the road has some boulders that can cause problem. It might be easier to use the telephone line road, but you have to enter it just after following the fence line that intersects the county rd.. |
