| This is certainly no area for the hard man or woman,instead it is a loosely connected collection of slabs on the NE end of Pitchoff Mtn. that might appeal to the explorer. Rising above the trailhead of the Pitch off Ridge Trail are 3 vague domes of open rock, one on top of the other,the highest which is the NE end of the trail. The rock can be seen from Rte.73 south of Cascade lakes. Check out the rock before heading up because there is really no way to see the rock once on the trail. |
