About Asheboro Boulders:

Asheboro Boulders has been reopened as of 10/13/07. Visit the Carolina Climbers Coalition web site (http://www.carolinaclimbers.org) for more information.

IMPORTANT: The land is leased by the CCC from a private owner who requests that only CCC members use the area. You must pay dues and become a member to receive a parking pass and access rights. It's worth it. Once you've registered as a CCC member, you can print a pass and access info.
Nearest town or city: Asheboro
Directions: From Asheboro (US-64/I-73 interchange) take US-64 west 6mi until you see Delks Surplus Sales on the left. Take a left on Moore Rd. immediately after Delks. Follow Moore Rd. for 1/2mi to Ridge Mtn. Rd. (aka Hoover Rd.) and take a right over the bridge. You will see a %u201CY%u201D at the end of the road; take the left fork. Follow this for about 1.5mi until you see a farm pond coming up on the right. Just before this pond is a short down hill road to a green gate. This gate can be opened with the key found in the lock box on the right hand gate post. You will need to be a CCC member to get the combination to this lock box. Once through the gate proceed down the gravel road, through another green gate (should be open), and through the woods. Take your first right into the parking lot, park, and follow the back trail with the message board; the boulders are uphill from there.
