About Stein's Pillar:

Steins Pillar is a 350-foot skyscraper of rhyolite ash that rises out of the Ochoco mountains. Most of the rock is solid while some is quite chossy.
Nearest town or city: Prineville
Directions: Drive East on HWY 26 10 miles out of Prineville. Turn Left on Mill Creek Road. Keep going after it turns to gravel and turn right to the trailhead. Two miles of winding gravel leave you at the trailhead. 1.8 Miles of hiking and your there.
