Description:
Climb the crack between fourth and fifth columns of main buttress (counting from right). W/o contrivance 5.6-5.7 Hands and feet in crack only 5.8 *The fourth column meets the fifth column in an odd way that creates an overhang above and an uneven suraface in front of the climber. Most people just climb the exposed left side and corner of the fourth column, but that's not really the crack between the columns, it's just the exposed left face of the fourth column. Climbing this one strict leaves you hanging way out to the left and cranking really hard on side pulls to make an awkward move to get back in line with the crack and up enough to have some holds. It's like adding a bouldering problem to the climb but it's the only way to get close to strict about staying off the face holds for the first 10 feetDescent Options:

work it clean
it took me a while to figure it out, but doing the bouldering problem to get past the overhanging uneven section makes this a fun one to climb when I'm setting it up for my wife.
