About Penns Creek (aka Coburn):
On east side of creek, across the bridge, at the top of the hill, is an obvious small crag. There are a few top ropes and even a trad lead possible. Nice view from top. Plenty of trees to hang a rope from. On west side of creek, the north side of the ridge with the tunnel going through it, you can wander around up on the ridge and find some boulder problems scattered around. Not worth driving to, but OK if you happen to be there already. Poe Paddy State Park is an easy walk from this area. Rustic campsites and toilets available. |
