The area is easily reached from Lehighton after driving south on Rt 209 to pass through the town of Jim Thorp right after passing through town youll come to the intersection with Rt 903, turn right and cross the bridge bearing left at its end, go over the hill and at the sharp right-hand turn in Rt 903 go straight (its actually a left turn) and down the hill through the dog-leg to start climbing another hill this time look for the small park road on the left this is the state park road follow it for five minutes and youll cross an old RR bridge park here. The hike to Heschell Cliff takes a good hour but its worth it. From the parking lot cross the RR tracks and follow the trail for Glennanoko falls, at the top of the falls follow the stream untill you reach a dirt road , turn right follow this for about a mile and on your right youll see a very rocky trail/road from here take this right and walk five minutes to the top of the cliff. The bottom is easily reached by walking left and around to a break in the cliff. |
