One of the best spots near the Scranton area to go bouldering. This area does not offer much and this cliff will definetly get the job done. The Rock is mostly sandstone and quartzite conglomerate. The northeastern end of the cliff rises up about 30-40 feet and some sections contain HUGE roofs. Bring a crashpad or two, lots of talus to cover up in spots.
ACCESS ISSUE!: This crag is unfortunately on private property and there are several "No Trespassing" signs posted at the entrance. I spoke with the guys who work at Nate's though, and they assured me that they have spoken with the owner and he tolerates climbers. This conversation took place long ago however, and Nate's Outdoor Sports has since closed. New information has been provided stating that the owner actually is not OK with people climbing on his land and it only occurs because he lives 150 miles away and is never there to police the area. Unfortunately, none of this information can be confirmed at this time. Deciding to climb here will be up to you. If you do decide on venturing here, be smart about it.
