About Donation Rocks:

This area is now closed to all climbing. DO NOT go here, as it is a very sensitive issue right now, and could jeopordize future access. Sandstone/quartzite cliffs (40'-50') in a gap along the Appalachian Mtns. between Huntingdon & State College. This area is not recommended for leading, but provides plenty of trees for top rope anchors (bring long slings). Some of the climbs have Bolts on top. (total of 3 Bolts) Two at the top of the cliff directly beside the bridge, On on top of Domnation Wall.
Nearest town or city: State College
Directions: Follow PA26 to Village of Donation. Look for turn at Horse Power Farm, left turn if coming from Huntingdon, right turn if coming form State College. Follow this road past an elk farm to a gap in the ridge. Parking up to 2-3 cars is available in a small pull off, otherwise, park alongside of the road with out obstructing the local traffic. This is private property, please respect it as such.

Access Issues: Climbing is now permitted at donation. Stone Mountain Adventures purchased the land containing Donation Rocks and has graciously opened the area to public access as of April 10, 2011. All that is needed is to sign an online form located at: http://www.c3pa.org/donation_rocks Keep the waiver with you and respect the area!
