About School House Crag:
One of the various crags located in a close proximity of each other along the Yough River Trail/Great Allegheny Passage. This area is the one of several large cliffs along the bike path. Mostly steep overhanging sport routes, several moderate sport routes also exist. |
Approach: | To approach by bicycle: Head towards Connellsville (downstream) out of Ohiopyle Apprx. 4.25 miles 20-30min. ride. Cliff located 50 yards off of trail on left. Obvious foot trail from bike trail to cliff. To appraoch by foot: Park at Mitchell Trail/Kentuck trail near the Bruner Run. Take-out parking lot (top of road not bottom), follow Mitchell Trail to Kentuck trail, turn right onto Kentuck trail, follow to bike trail, make left onto bike trail. 5min. walk to crag, 30-40min. hike. |
