About Jones Gap:

Boulders in the Jones Gap State Park Boulders 7-10 minutes in on the Standington Mtn. trail. Keep a low profile (i.e., no or small pad, scrub chalk after climbing, small groups or solo, NO trash (tape and other bullshit)). Trail goes to flat, first boulders shortly on left. 5-6 problems on a couple of boulders...hike past trailside boulders for 1-2 mins and head uphill to right...i have climbed on 5-6 good boulders each yeilding 1-2 problems with more potential...more boulders further down trail, broken cliff line over head, no crowds, no waiting. In the park proper, to the right, like you are heading up the hospital rock trail, campsites on right that have 4-5 boulders i ahve climbed, possible more potential. Also, up hill and left of the ranger station (through the large group, drive up campground) climbed on another 5-6 boulders of HIGH quality. Actually, all the boulders are good friction, solid rock.
