Description:
Like many another Sunset route, Copperhead is a little sandbagged for the grade. Though it's a short route, it's well worth doing. The protection is good, especially where you need it the most.Starts on a ledge above the trail, about 5 minutes walk north from the toprope area. At the left end of the ledge, move up a dirty but easy dihedral to a ledge, then move right under a shallow crack. Climb the crack (crux), then up the face to mantel out at the top. Sling trees for an anchor, or build a gear anchor in the rocks to climber's right.
Descent Options:
Rap off the pine tree at the top of the cliff.

Heady but short
The upper section is heady, because the gear is hard to find or just not there. The top out can be a bit tricky for the grade as its slopey. If your tall, the crack crux is easy. Followed the wife.
