About Muddy River Gorge:

Beautiful but remote area of the swell. Drive south from I-70 toward McKay Flat. I think there are signs, if not look at a map. It is where the Muddy river cuts through the reef. Park at the end of the road at the mouth of the canyon and walk up old road past the old bunk-house. The only existing route is about 150 yards past the bunk-house on the left (eas t side of canyon) wall. Much potential in this area. I was going to develop it more before I posted it, but I won't have time anytime soon. If you want to be all alone (as if that were difficult in the swell) and feel like exploring, its a great place to spend a weekend. Great hiking in the area too!
