The Sail
About The Sail:
This buttress is high and right of the famous Coffin. Hike as if you are going to the Hong Wall or The Egg, then follow a scrambling gulley up and left (west) to the sail. Approach time: about 30 - 40 minutes. Well worth the hike, at least once a year....or at least once! There are no bolted anchors atop the Sail. You can hike off west, or it is possible to rap/TR the center of the face by slinging a horn. A mahogony on top also provides an anchor. |
